At Watches By Cody, every timepiece is carefully assembled using premium components and precision-tested before shipping. Proper care will help preserve your watch's appearance, accuracy, and longevity.

Secure the Crown

Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in and screwed down (where applicable) before wearing your watch. An improperly secured crown may allow moisture or dust to enter the case.

Water Resistance

Our watches are tested for water resistance, but no watch is completely waterproof.

  • Always make sure the crown is fully secured before any contact with water.

  • Avoid hot showers, saunas, hot tubs, or sudden temperature changes, as heat and steam can compromise water-resistant seals.

  • Never operate the crown or pushers while the watch is wet.

  • If your watch includes an upgraded water-resistance option, the same precautions still apply. We recommend avoiding prolonged water exposure whenever possible.

Avoid Corrosive Chemicals

Keep your watch away from chemicals such as perfumes, cleaning products, chlorine, solvents, and saltwater whenever possible. If contact occurs, gently wipe the watch with a soft, dry microfiber cloth.

Protect Against Impact

Although built for everyday wear, your watch contains a precision mechanical movement. Avoid dropping the watch or exposing it to strong impacts, which may affect its accuracy or damage internal components.

Regular Maintenance

To ensure reliable performance, we recommend having your watch inspected and serviced by a qualified watchmaker every 3–5 years, depending on usage.

Proper Storage

When not in use:

  • Store your watch in a cool, dry place.

  • Keep it away from direct sunlight, excessive humidity, and extreme temperatures.

  • Consider using a watch box or protective case to prevent scratches and dust buildup.

Cleaning

Regularly clean your watch using a soft microfiber cloth. If necessary, use a lightly damp cloth for the bracelet or case, then dry it immediately. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.

Warranty

Damage resulting from improper use, accidental impact, unauthorized modifications or repairs, failure to secure the crown, water damage caused by misuse, or failure to follow the care instructions above is not covered under our warranty.
